A Small Hiatus

It has been a while since I have added a new blog post.  The reasons and excuses are various and I think noteworthy despite being more personal that anything else.  The first reason is that our home is being added to and gut renovated, which prompted a temporary move in early March.  And the second is that I had a baby boy, Julian, in early April.  So I’ve been playing catch up and here we are.  In the days of social media, I have updated a lot on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, but not had a ton of time to update here.  BTW, If you’d like to follow me on any of these social media platforms, I can be followed at these links.  Follow day-to-day imagery on Instagram and Facebook, Etsy-store related tweets on Twitter, and general ideas on Pinterest, along with many remodel ideas.

It wouldn’t be a post without some photos so here are a few.  These days capturing moments has been on the go with my iPhone camera.  Here are a few images to share.

A panorama of the demolition.  The old deck and garage/shed are gone.

20140513-162451.jpg20140513-162509.jpgSofia loved watching it, while we were still there, from the inside.  Now we go back frequently and watch the interior progress.  I am sad to report the passing of our long time companion cat, Ally McNally.  She was 15 at the time and despite being diabetic for the past few years, we lost her to Cancer.  Sofia is enjoying being a big sister and a helper. She is growing up fast and Julian is not far behind. He is already one month old, and it seems like tomorrow he will be 2 months, and so it goes. At this point we take every day at a time and enjoy the nice weather. I do promise to update this blog more often, with a variety of personal images as well as professional work.

Until next time,

Helen
