Now Booking Fall 2015 Mini Session

I cannot believe it is September and we are almost into Fall.  Summer was awesome!  Road trips, vacations, pool time, hanging out on the beach.  The tan lines serve as a memory of a great summer.  So now that Fall is practically here, its time to take some family photos as we all are too familiar with the Holiday season that will be upon us in December.  Let’s not forget Holiday/Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanza/New Years Cards! I joke but its a bit of a tradition for me to send out cards – and I love to receive them!  They all go up on a big wall and I just love them.  So if you love them as much as I do, mini sessions are a great time to get those photos taken for that awesome card!

    A New Nursery Collection

Are you expecting a girl?  Thinking of nursery decor?  Here a new collection I have come up.  I think this collection is perfect for nursery and the images can grow with your girl through toddlerhood into the big girl phase.  I currently have the ballet shoes image hanging in Sofia’s room – those were her first pair of “ballet” shoes.  Interested in seeing more nursery collections or purchasing single prints of this one, click here.girl nursery collection of photographs

      From House To Home

Door Color - Benjamin Moore Iron Mountain

Door Color – Benjamin Moore Iron Mountain

We have been back at the “house” having completed the home renovation since the end of September (2014). It was a rushed process, getting all of our belongings back in and slowly unpacking. As I write this, it is May 2015.  We survived the brutal winter months of January, February, and March with record snow fall.  Julian celebrated his first birthday!  And still some of the boxes remain.

So yes, we have taken our time unpacking boxes and hanging things on the wall, as this is a huge commitment because of the potential hole left in the wall should it not be the right spot.  And yes, I have found many a Pinterest tutorial on how to lay things out, mock up the hangings with cardboard cutouts – still I hesitate. As a result the walls are a work in progress.  My mind is slowly purging itself of all the Benjamin Moore paint color names and of all the wonderful places I found to procure the items now in our home.

Here is some proof that we have unpacked a few boxes!

I do want to share all these wonderful colors and rooms and the result of all our hard work (well, our contractor’s work) so I think I will, over the next few months. Especially as more pieces of art, school art, and photographs are hung on the wall then.

If you have moved recently, how long did your boxes stay packed?  Any good tips to share on how to tackle it all?

      Until next time,

        Peach Ranunculus

This winter was so long, my secret to survival was getting myself a small bunch of flowers every week from my local Trader Joe’s. It kept me going. Week after week, the flowers would bring a smile to my face despite the piles of snow accumulating outside.

How did you survive this past winter? Would love to hear your tips.

          Countdown to 2015

Makadia_141030_2015-2It seems like yesterday that it was December 2013 and we were getting ready to gear up for 2014.  December got here much quicker than I had ever anticipated.  It was a busy year, having a baby, surviving two moves and a home renovation.  I carved out some time to create a monthly food calendar that I call Rustic Kitchen.  A selection of 12 of images displayed in a 5×7 monthly calendar, as you can see to the right in December 2015.  Before you know it, it will be time to see blueberries!

Feel free to check out a few more calendars here.

Happy December!  2015 is around the corner!

          Cheers!
