Boston Wedding Photographer | Amit + Lorraine [married!]

Amit + Lorraine’s nuptials brought us to London and Essex two weeks ago!  My husband Jay and I first met Lorraine last year and were so excited when we learned these two got engaged.  Amit is Jay’s friend from college and business school so I’ve had the pleasure of knowing him  for several years now.  When I met Lorraine, I knew they were a perfect match.  When Amit asked if I would photograph their Hindu ceremony, which took place the Friday before the ceremony in Essex, I was very happy to oblige.  So here I’m sharing photos from the Hindu ceremony and a few from the next day.  (I couldn’t resist!)

Second ceremony in Essex at Gosfield Hall.  Beautiful place!

Chairs set up outside for the ceremony.  Unfortunately we were hit with rain right at that time, so the ceremony was indoors.  It was beautiful!

Cocktail hour outdoors.  The weather cleared up nicely.Who actually caught the bouquet?  Hard to tell.

Congratulations Amit+Lorraine!  Hope to see you again soon.

Boston Wedding Photographer | Maureen + Chris [married]

Maureen + Chris’ wedding brought Ken of Eric Barry Photography and I down to the Cape for a beautiful celebration.  The ceremony was held at the St. Thomas Chapel in Plymouth, celebrated by friends and family.  We continued on for some wedding party photos down by Woods Hole and the lighthouse there.  Beach photos followed soon after we arrived at the reception location,  Wianno Club in Osterville.  Congratulations again + here’s to health & happiness!

    Boston Photographer | Bathroom [remodeled]

I tend not to share a lot of personal stuff on here, and that may change over time with this first share of our newly remodeled bathroom.  We started with a very brown bathroom, which was neat in it of itself, but the plastic shower casing had to go!  So, we spent lots of time brainstorming (huge thanks to my sister, Esther (an architect!)) and picking out products online, as well as multiple trips to the tile store & lowes.  Fun!  We’re enjoying our “new” bathroom and wanted to share some pictures of the demo, installation and finished project!

In case you care about the finished products, here are the names of the products and locations where they were purchased.

Floor & Shower Tile is Crema Luna Limestone, Shower accent is Polished Honey Onyx, Shower Floor and Niche is Honed Onyx (floor). Purchased at Tile Showcase in Watertown, MA, aided by Lori, who is great!

The neatest part of the shower, the shower niche made by FinPan.

NuTone/Broan medicine cabinets ordered online from homeclick.com

Perfectly sized Toto toilet ordered online from Performancetoilets.com

Bathroom cabinet & Countertop is from Lowes Countertop is DuPont’s Zodiac Quartz, in Mossy Green

    Lighting by Restoration Hardware

Panasonic Exhaust Fan & Light – Standard Electric

Benjamin Moore Paint (a variation on Dessert Storm)

Boston Wedding Photographer | Shawna + Andy Married! [7.10.2010]

I shared two of Shawna + Andy’s wedding earlier this week and am excited to share the full set!  Andy + Shawna did a lot of DIY for the wedding, including their flowers!  Check them out, they did a fabulous job!  As you may already know, the summer in the Boston area has been quite hot and muggy, with the occasional thunderstorm.  Well, the forecast did call for a thunderstorm that afternoon, and well, Andy + Shawna took it so well.  Cool as cukes, they decided to hold out and see if they could indeed have their ceremony outdoors in the Hingham Harbor Gazebo.  The ceremony went as planned outdoors, even graced by their two dogs.  They had a fantastic day and the weather did clear up to do more pictures outside, including a fantastic sunset.  A fun and energetic crowd, including the very animated flower girl, spent a lot of time on the dance floor at their reception at the Clarion Hotel.  Enjoy + Congratulations!
