I wrote about winning a beautiful handmade flower hair/pin from ETSY seller Twisted Crystals in this post back in December.  Well, I’ve decided that I want to give this beautiful handmade flower to someone who will use it soon!  Not to mention, I’m already eyeing a different colored flower belt accessory from Kacey’s shop and it seems selfish to keep this beautiful handmade flower.  For the brides out there, this could be your something blue.  For the moms with little girls it can be a cute hair pin to dress up your daughter or even wear it in your own hair to a summer wedding or event.

I recently had the pleasure of participating in the Wedding Faire at the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown.  I have photographed weddings and events at this venue and love it!  Its a beautiful building indoors and the grounds are fabulous.  I am, of course, a bit biased, as I did get married there in 2005.    In any case, sharing some photos of my display, along with photos of my room vendor, Capers.  They are a fantastic caterer located in the greater Boston area and create amazing menus custom to your event.  Beautiful linens for both of our tables provided by Table Toppers of Newton.

Yesterday, while clearing off the snow from our little blizzard I was surprised with mail delivered by the USPS and even more pleasantly surprised to find a package from Kacey of Twisted Crystals (www.twistedcrystals.com).

You all may be familiar with my obsession with ETSY and creation of Treasuries.  For those not familiar with Treasuries, they are collections one can create and share online.  ETSY’s front page features these collections and it is a true honor to make it to the front page, as a curator and to have one’s items as well.  Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the following treasury, Things that remind me of winter, made it to the front page, and includes her beautiful black belt in the second row.  (BTW, the missing box is an item that sold.)  For making it to the front page, Kacey sent me a beautiful blue flower.  Thanks so much Kacey!  I thought I would share how beautiful the flower is with some photos below.

The flower was well packaged and protected from the snowy elements. As you can see this flower can be used in one’s hair, but can also be clipped to a ribbon or belt.  Kacey also carries beautiful belts, shoe clips, and creates a variety of custom products.  Check out her website at www.TwistedCrystals.com or kaceyh.com.

The clip is securely fastened so it is sure to stay in place.  The fabric is soft and beautiful, and the jewels are very beautiful.
