I am the Principal Photographer and Owner of Helen Makadia Photography.

I am a Boston-based Professional Photographer serving Wedding, Event and Portrait clients in the greater Boston area. I completed my formal training with working professional photographers at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts (CDIA) at Boston University. I hold a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Wellesley College. Prior to my formal training at CDIA, I led a successful career in business/finance for 10 years.

My photographic approach is clean, unobtrusive and my goal is to capture the moment with a unique perspective. Creating a story through still images is the goal I have for all my work. Most importantly, I work to get to know all my clients and provide you with the best photographic experience through exceptional photos and customer service.

I am continually reinforcing my professional training by belonging to and being active with the following organizations:

Looking For An Ark? | Boston Photographer

I found myself in Concord, MA today and on my way there and saw lots of flooding. The fields at Codman Farm in Lincoln had mini-pools, local pathways that are usually graced by people walking were completely covered in water. It has rained so much here, we’re all tired of it.

As I approached Concord Center, I drove past a church there and saw this sign. I had to stop and grab a photo of it with my iPhone. So, please excuse the poor picture quality.

I hope we can a find a little humor in this sign as our basements and yards dry out. I wouldn’t be surprised if Noah got a few calls about his ark.
